I will overwhelm 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
